All approved applicator companies have completed our specialised training to ensure that Tech Coatings’ intumescent coating systems are installed compliantly, as specified and to the highest standard. Only trained and licensed applicators can apply our fire protective paint systems.
What we focus on when selecting our applicators

The company operates under a formal Quality Management System (e.g. ISO 9001) and the company inspector/supervisor holds an accredited Coating Inspection Certification (such as NACE Level 1 or CBIP).

The company is a member of a relevant professional body with a code of ethics (e.g. FPANZ).

The company has established itself in the industry and is knowledgable around the necessary standards (e.g., AS2311: Guide to the Painting of Buildings), regulations and code of compliances.

The applicator holds an accredited certificate (such as SSPC Train the Painter, SSPC Thin Film Intumescent Training, or ICATS Industrial Coatings Applicator) and has experience in spraying intumescent coatings for at least 2 years.

Tech Coatings offers two tiers of licensed applicator companies
TIER 1
Tier 1 applicator companies are competent to apply our intumescent coating systems on fire-separating and structural elements using an airless spray gun, as well as installing our passive fire stopping systems.
